Hello SJNOWIndivisibles,
PLEASE READ THIS!!
College Voter Registration is coming in the fall. Many colleges choose Sept 16 which is National Voter Registration Day or Oct 5-9 which is National Voter Registration Week. If you are interested in doing College Voter Registration, and I hope you are since it's a blast, please keep these dates open. Sign up sheets will go out a month before and you have to be on the lookout for them or you will get closed out. I always make them obvious in the daily emails. You just have to scan your emails!!
No experience is necessary but I am going to be scheduling Voter Registration training sessions for those of you who want to feel more comfortable. I thought the training was very helpful.
Eileen

Call To Action:
Now is the time to make our voices heard and support Ukraine. The House of Representatives passed the Ukraine Support Act by a vote of 226-195. 18 Republicans joined the Democrats despite opposition from Trump and House leadership. The legislation would impose new sanctions on Russia's energy and financial sectors and provide 1 billion dollars in security and reconstruction aid to Ukraine and up to 8 billion in defense loans. The bill now moves to the Senate.
Tell our Senators, Andy Kim and Cory Booker, to vote to pass the Ukraine support Act. This legislation provides critical aid to our ally and strengthens sanctions against Russia as Ukraine continues to defend itself against Russian aggression.
Call:
Senator Cory Booker 202-224-3224 856-338-8922
Senator Andy Kim 202-224-4744 856-757-5353

Thank you for taking my call.

Call To Action:
Trump has nominated his former criminal defense attorney and current Acting Attorney General, Todd Blanche, to serve as Attorney General of the United States. He is totally unfit to serve in this role! In his acting A.G. role, he has been politicizing the Justice Department, serving not as the nation's top law enforcement officer, but as Trump's personal attorney. He has pursued investigations into several of Trump's perceived political enemies , praised Trump's mass pardons of the Jan. 6 rioters and helped create the "Anti-Weaponization Fund" to pay these same rioters and other so-called political victims of the Biden Administration. He is also blocking the further release of the Epstein Files!
Tell Senators Andy Kim and Cory Booker, to strongly oppose the confirmation of Todd Blanche for Attorney General as he has shown to be unfit to serve as Attorney General. His loyalty is to the president, not the constitution.

Hello SJNOWIndivisibles,
1. URGENT: Call your Republican representative NOW and tell them to vote against billions more for ICE and Border Patrol: In the early hours of the morning on Friday, Republican senators (with the exception of Lisa Murkowski) passed Trump’s reconciliation bill, handing ICE and Border Patrol $70 billion to fund their kidnappings, concentration camps, and family separations. The House is expected to vote on the bill today, please make a call now.
Here's your script:
Hi, my name is [your name] and I'm a constituent from [your city].
I’m calling because I don’t want another penny of my taxpayer dollars to go toward ICE and Border Patrol. Republicans already voted to give them the budget of a small army last year, and now I see you are trying to use the reconciliation process to give them billions more.
Enough. Let’s focus on funding healthcare and housing instead of shoveling even more money to these out of control agencies. Tell Representative [Name] to oppose this reconciliation bill.
Representative Herbert Conaway 202-225-4765 609-438-6290
Representative Donald Norcross 202-225-6501 856-427-7000

We must continue our pressure to stop funding for ICE and the CBP Budget Reconciliation Funding Bill. It passed the Senate with an additional 70 billion in tax monies to their already huge budget AND WITHOUT any reforms or accountability. It now goes to the House. Call your representative and tell him to do everything he can to block the passage of this bill and work to stop these rogue agencies from endangering the American public.

Hello SJNOWIndivisibles,
Oppose the ICE and CBP Budget Reconciliation Funding Bill Passed IN THE Senate
Senators voted 52-47 for the $70 billion legislation to fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol for the next three years, through the end of Trump's term. The final vote came just before 5 a.m., after Republicans narrowly defeated multiple attempts by Democrats and Republicans to add language to the bill that would permanently ban Trump's settlement fund for political allies who believe they have been politically persecuted.
Despite bipartisan support for a Senate-passed bill that would have restored funding for all Department of Homeland Security departments except Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and much of Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), Republicans have failed to end the longest partial government shutdown in history. They are now attempting to use budget reconciliation, a process that allows the passage of bills with a simple majority if they have a significant budgetary impact, to secure more funding for ICE and CBP as well as the illegal war in Iran.
Because the budget reconciliation process requires new expenditures be offset by equivalent budget cuts, this will inevitably lead to additional cuts to essential social safety net programs like Affordable Care Act financial assistance. Some hardliners are also aiming to use this next reconciliation bill to force through voter suppression legislation, although this attempt is unlikely to succeed due to parliamentarian rules.
Call, or e-mail, our Senators, Andy & Cory to thank them for their support and urge them to stand strong.
Senator Cory Booker 202-224-3224 856-338-8922
Senator Andy Kim 202-224-4744 856-757-5353

Hello SJNOWIndivisibles,
As Trump keeps blithering on about his remoldeling adventures we need to stay focused and keep calling our Representatives!
CALL TO ACTION:
June 3, 2026: The House has passed Iran War Powers Resolution H.Con.Res. 86 by a vote of 215-208. Republican Reps. Massie (KY), Fitzpatrick (PA), Barrett (MI) and Davidson (OH) joined Democrats in voting YES. The resolution now moves to the Senate.
Call your Senators to urge them to support the House-passed War Powers Resolution H.Con.Res. 86 to end the administration's war with Iran. This unauthorized and unnecessary war has been wreaking havoc on our economy and energy supply and needs to end.

Hello SJNOWIndivisibles,
Just a few things.....
Please note that this Call to Action is time sensitive!
CALL TO ACTION:
President Trump just put right-wing private equity goon Bill Pulte atop the most powerful spy network in the world.
Trump’s pick for acting director of national intelligence has experience buying up home improvement companies. He definitely knows how to donate big money to the Trump campaign. But he has no experience whatsoever in national security or intelligence. Maybe he’s read a Tom Clancy novel, but we can’t confirm that. Now Trump has given his political attack dog access to the largest collection of sensitive data on the planet for one reason, and one reason alone: Trump wants Bill Pulte to weaponize our entire intelligence community against political opponents and cultural enemies.
This is another step toward authoritarianism in America. But we’re not powerless here. Congress has very little authority when it comes to blocking acting directors, but it does have massive amounts of leverage right now, because an intelligence-gathering law is set to expire in nine days without Congressional reauthorization and the Trump regime is obsessed with getting it passed.
You’ve heard us talk about Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act before. It allows warrantless surveillance of non-US citizens for national security purposes, but loopholes have been used to spy on US citizens as well. We’re already urging Congress not to pass this law without massive guardrails, but now, given the threat of the Pulte appointment, we’re encouraging Members of Congress to refuse to reauthorize this law -- even with guardrails -- until the Trump regime pulls this dangerous appointment.*
We want to be clear on this: Any Democrat who votes to reauthorize Section 702 right now will be complicit in Trump’s weaponization of intelligence data against Americans. This is one of the most important tests of whether Dems are able to identify the critical fights they need to wage to stem the tide of fascism.
Demand your Member of Congress use all available leverage -- including blocking reauthorization of surveillance legislation -- until Trump’s dangerous acting intelligence chief is removed.
Herbert Conaway US House of Rep 202-225-4786
